There's lots to do, if you want to get out of town. Camp at one of the provincial parks, be amazed at the A.Y. Jackson Lookout overlooking High Falls.
You can head west to Manitoulin Island, or head south to the French River and Kilarney which has both a lighthouse overlooking the stunning North Channel, and a provincial park with fascinating and unusual water and land features. Or head east along the Trans-Canada to Lake Nippissing in the direction of North Bay and Mattawa.
