Sudbury feels like a city built around a lake, the beautiful lake Ramsay, which is home to many of the city's prized attractions and facilities, including Bell Park, Science North, Laurentian University and the Lake Laurentian Wilderness Area.

Sudbury has a centralized regional government, after amalgamating with the surrounding municipalities.
