The Rainbow District School Board operates 37 Elementary schools, and 10 Secondary schools serving about 15,000 students in Sudbury, Espanola, Manitoulin Island and Shining Tree.

The Board operates schools in North Bay and around Lake Nipissing and serves approximately 10,500 students in 35 Elementary Schools, 7 Secondary Schools as well as Continuing Education programs.

The Sudbury Catholic District School Board operates 20 Elementary schools, including Marymount Academy (an all-girls school for Grades 7 through 12), and three additional co-ed Secondary schools and St. Albert Adult Learning Centre.
