Homes: Wanup Neighbourhood
Wanup lies just east of Highway 69, at the Junction of Highway 537, south of Sudbury. The community grew in the early 1900s, when large numbers of Finns, escaping expected war with Russia, arrived in Canada and like the geographical & climate similarities with Finland. They began farming in the area, but also worked in the CN and CPR rail lines in the area. SchoolsNo information is available.
